yea, alex they do check on tints, HIDs, exhaust, and sambung kereta.. but the most important is your breaking and handbrake. Make sure to set properly b4 going for inspection. This is a very important factor for inspecting your car. If fail, u need to inspect again, until pass. LOL Cheers!!

Re: Procedure to get JPJ approval...

There was already a very comprehensive guide on the procedure which is prepared by our webmaster (aka Ripper) few years back when we had our engine changed. I have been gone thru few years back and also recently (2 weeks back) and the officer at JPJ putrajaya never asked any questions on why need to change engine.

Just get the form at the counter and return after fill up the form, the only question will ask is whether you want to collect the letter yourself or by mail. Get ready all the documents and your brake (especially rear brake) then it would be fine. Good Luck

Re: Procedure to get JPJ approval...

for my case, it tooks 1 week to get JPJ letter before went to puspakom for inspection. After inspection passed, then went to JPJ to update the car reg card and get new roadtax. No runner and kopi duit.

lost doc ah .. no idea but quite troublesome i think...
