finally...converting to KF
hi,long time no post coz pindah rumah not yet have internet connection,plus my old account cant login already.
i've booked a V6 manual halfcut at paya jaras.i think not many found this place,asked poon he also dont know.got it for 3.5k w/o bodyparts.mileage 119k km.engine no leak,clean,no teppet sound.got 2 airbags but no lsd.the radiator is leaking but the shop promise to replace.is it a good deal?btw i have to thank poon and jason for guiding me here and there.halfcut still in the chopshop waiting for murali only.dont know how long will complete since he's been so busy all the time
hope my car will get healthy again and can join gathering next year

haha... mine one too... there are still 1 ford and lantis in his workshop waiting for transplant. According to murali, I am the next and can get it fix b4 CNY... hopefully... but his words are hard to believe nowadays...

half cut itself cost me RM3,800, installation + wiring RM1,800 and change all the necessary mechanical stuffs is about RM3,000. I traded in my old engine and gearbox to him and he minus off RM700 (cheap?) from the total cost. This is way over my budget and i have to put my new sports rim and skirting on hold! haizzz...

how come your price so much diff from mine?halfcut i got fot 3500,labour 1800,same but my parts cost is 4500??thats only basic items that need to change.and he take my engine for 400 bucks only...im also over budget and my plan to repaint have to postpone also! haizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....

You should try to search buyers for your engine parts before starting the transplant.
Mine all parts already been booked.....just wait for the car to enter the 'ICU'....
CL & icydv6...why ur part price of v6 so much? what stuff u change? i also convert my lantis to v6..my halfcut is RM4000, installation+wiring RM 1200, i only change timing belt and all oil for engine,gear box and brake fluid that cost me around RM800, others stuff i mantained not to change

exactly the same as mine. mine was RM3000 + RM1,800 so makeup to be RM4,800. My halfcut clutch pad gong oledi, so have to change a new set which cost me around rm400. brake servo he couldn't find it so i also use back my half cut one. and... shhh... he didn't charge me for the RM250 engine compartment spray because i found that he use black can spray to hantam only, sooo... hehe...
so ur rm4.5k havent trade in ur old engine la? take back ur engine & gearbox and sell it seperately. jangan kata saya cakap!
Guys, I must comment, Murali really charge expensive for the parts leh...
better buy the parts by yourself....

lantis sure boleh tahan.but my pocket cannot.MK boleh la...
KL engine cannot register to JPJ... so anything goes wrong... sendiri tanggung and if JPJ do roadblocks... and find out about it..they will sita your car maaa.. That y now someone already change back / wanted to change back to KF....he...he...panas...panas...
just picked up my car from murali yesterday.finally.took 15 days,sigh...but worth it.but i got screeching belt when start the engine and turn the aircond on.murali said belt not set in yet..any tips regarding this engine?my 1st impression was low down the rpm theres not much oommph.is this normal for this engine?but on hiway is like sky and earth compared to 1.6.but still 100kmh @ 3.2k rpm is quite high for me
around that range lar muaiz.. but the consumption is surprising as good as 1.6 plus the extra power...vromm vromm

havent tried long distance yet.only dis morning along nkve tekan sikit almost 170 already.this weekend will head to jb see how the fc.harap2 jalan x jam la
so far after came back from johor,best recorded fc 10.6km/l or 17sen/km. a bit worse than my 1.6 but still ok.hope it improves after change to lighter oil.top speed...wasnt to eager too find out coz at 160 the wind noise already killing my ears.need to fix windows asap
Since u already booked it...it's already a deal. In fact, Poon and Jason among the best QA for the Halfcut tester....lol
