window sound
ok. i finally own my dream car. the mazda lantis. everything is in good condition. until i on highway.
i hv to major problem. hope you guys can help me up.
first of all, while driving on the highway, at 110km/h, i can hear a major wind sound coming from my driver side window.
second, while i reach 120km/h, i will hear another sound like like my window shaking sound.. is quite loud. n i hv some major concer it. scare the window may break away soon.
hope u guys can help me out. coz i dun wan to lose my dear dream car.

From worldwide web, the only problem for a Lantis is none other the undisputed wobbling, windy gustling, spanking sound of all 4 door windows....AKA kill joy...
Many are aware but many 'boh layan' or 'buat dunno aje'. As far as I know there are many Lantis members in this community that give the same service for this particular issue. For me, I don't mind if you guys wanna choose who ever u wanna go for the window repair, coz it is your choice.
I do have my own product that I produced myself from billet Poly Eutherene (PE) plastic and I called it "PE Plastic Roller Bush for Framless Window"...very long name ah... Actually the thing didn't rolled, instead they glide... I started doing this coz no sparepart shop in this whole of Malaysia sell this thing. With a little bit technical knowledge that I learned from my motorsports sifu 20 years ago, I begin this service coz just wanna fill the emptiness in this autopart supply.
The original injection moulded soft plastic from Mazda itself will diminished after 5 years in hot climate, if you bought a brand new lantis la. But most of us bought a 2nd hand lantis, some even 4th hand lantis!! So as you know la, itu roller suda gone & tinggal besi only lor... My product, I guarantee will not fade after 7 years.
I've sold & done installation for more than 20 Lantis cars (that I've counted). Few senior members here did come to my ferocious looking workshop for repair.... dunno whether they're satisfied or not, hopefully lah... Some doors r okay & working good immediately after installation, but most r in horrible & errie conditions that needed lots of adjustment & have to comeback for 2nd time window tuning.
So if u guys wanna do less discussions here about this issue but actually needed repair & installation on your door windows, my advice is to first of all go to the nearest workshop to you that give such service. Try searching the popularly USJ1 & Sunway, lots of Mazda sifus there, as my place is far & secluded from most of the members here. If the service still didn't available so come find me lah. Hacks hitam candies are included... air kelapa also ada at nearby gerai. TQ.

Yeop, i would rather give u the benefit of the doubt than to the other workshop which i know nothing about. Some sifus here can DIY but me, aiyooo...tgn keras and frankly not much time now can spare on the car. What's ur contact no? Just can't stand the rattling sound.

It's in Cheras area & very easy to reached there if u r from KL-Seremban hiway heading to KL.
After the toll, go straigth until u reached the SMART tunnel exit. Take the Cheras flyover & turn left b4 the 50sen toll. Take the salak south/sg besi/upm exit. Call me when u reached there...

Mr.Jo is great man, his got great stuffs... my window is quite air tight now. Even though there are some slight major issues, but he is man of integrity and good workmanship. Did it up again without any hassle. Recommended to all to him to fix windows (for those that don't want to get their hands dirty)

Bro Joe de workshop is Located is Salak South... Anyone need direction to his place, can give a call to me for a lead... Before going to his place, please inform to get those bushes for you guys a day or 2 days before... Yo, Joe... I think u can order a some of quantity of de bushes and stoppers to keep as stock... Therefore this will a convenient for all of us to fix de windows problem in a sudden time... peace

Our Latest info:
We r in the R&D stage of customising the door locking mechanism to be more quiter, crispier sound & softer pushing response, each time when shutting the door. It's going to be somewhat a bit the similar experience like other cars that have frameless doors.. e.g. Nissan silvia, skyline, impreza, integra, E46 coupe etc. Also available now, sound proofing for doors.
